Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay.
Day 2 : Nairobi to Arusha
Depart from Nairobi to Arusha, Tanzania, via a scenic road journey (approximately 5-6 hours).
Check-in at a comfortable hotel in Arusha and enjoy a relaxing evening, preparing for the trek ahead.
Day 3 : Arusha to Londorossi Gate (Start of Trek)
Complete registration and meet your mountain crew before beginning the trek.
Trek through lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,750 meters) for overnight camping.
Day 4 : Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
Reach Shira 1 Camp (3,505 meters), located near the Shira Plateau, offering stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Settle in at the campsite and enjoy a hearty dinner before resting for the night.
Day 5 : Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp
Arrive at Shira 2 Camp (3,850 meters), where you’ll spend the night.

Day 6 : Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp

Day 10 : Descent to Mweka Gate and Departure
