Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival in Arusha, Tanzania, you will be transferred to your hotel to rest and prepare for the upcoming adventure. Overnight stay in Arusha.

Day 2 : Machame Route - Kilimanjaro Climb

Early morning transfer to Machame Gate, the starting point of your Kilimanjaro climb. Begin the trek through lush rainforest, ascending gradually to Machame Camp. Overnight camping at Machame Camp.

Day 3 : Shira Plateau - Kilimanjaro Climb

Continue the ascent through varied terrain, passing through moorland and heath zones. Arrive at Shira Plateau, where you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Overnight camping at Shira Camp.

Day 4 : Barranco Wall - Kilimanjaro Climb

Trek across the vast expanse of the Shira Plateau, ascending to Lava Tower for acclimatization. Descend to Barranco Camp, traversing the iconic Barranco Wall along the way. Overnight camping at Barranco Camp.

Day 5 : Karanga Valley - Kilimanjaro Climb

Ascend through alpine desert terrain, passing unique rock formations and towering cliffs. Arrive at Karanga Valley for a brief rest before continuing to Barafu Camp. Overnight camping at Barafu Camp.

Day 6 : Uhuru Peak - Kilimanjaro Summit

Begin the summit push in the early hours of the morning, trekking through snow and ice to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement before descending back to Barafu Camp and then to Mweka Camp. Overnight camping at Mweka Camp.

Day 7 : Mweka Gate - Kilimanjaro Descent

Descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificates. Transfer to your hotel in Arusha for a well-deserved rest. Overnight stay in Arusha.

Day 8 : Tarangire National Park - Safari

Depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy game drives in search of elephants, lions, and other wildlife species. Overnight stay in a lodge or tented camp in or near Tarangire.

Day 9 : Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Safari

Explore the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the famous Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder teeming with wildlife. Enjoy game drives on the crater floor, observing lions, rhinos, and other animals in their natural habitat. Overnight stay in a lodge or tented camp near the crater.

Day 10 : Serengeti National Park - Safari

Transfer to the Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. Embark on game drives across the vast plains, witnessing the annual wildebeest migration (seasonal) and encountering a wide variety of wildlife. Overnight stay in a lodge or tented camp in the Serengeti.

Day 11 : Serengeti National Park - Safari

Continue exploring the Serengeti with game drives in different areas of the park, maximizing your chances of spotting the Big Five and other iconic species. Optional hot air balloon safaris are available for a unique aerial perspective of the park (additional cost). Overnight stay in a lodge or tented camp in the Serengeti.

Day 12 : Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the nearest airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Depending on your onward travel arrangements, you may depart from Arusha or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return journey home, marking the end of your unforgettable adventure.
